How to properly take your measurements for a full-bust bra?
For a fuller bust, the right size makes all the difference. The band size is measured just under the bust, keeping the tape parallel to the ground, while the bust measurement is taken at the fullest part without tightening. The combination of these two measurements determines the correct size and cup.
An ill-fitting bra is easy to spot: the back band rides up, the cups overflow or gape, and the underwires may feel uncomfortable. In doubt? Getting measured in-store can be the best solution.

Which bra styles are suitable for larger busts?
Certain cuts are particularly well suited for fuller busts. The balconette or demi-cup bra reveals more of the upper chest and creates a rounder neckline.
Push-up or padded styles help shape the bust and enhance cleavage, while still providing support.
Underwired or wire-free: which is better for a fuller bust?
Underwired bras are often preferred for their ability to structure the bust and distribute weight evenly. They provide strong support and a more lifted silhouette, especially for cup sizes E, F, or G.
Wire-free bras, on the other hand, focus on comfort and freedom of movement. When well-designed, with supportive linings and a firm band, they are ideal for relaxed days. Alternating between the two allows you to adapt your lingerie to your daily needs.
What details ensure comfort and support?
A comfortable bra for a fuller bust relies on specific features:
- wide, adjustable straps to reduce pressure on the shoulders,
- a stable back band that stays horizontal,
- a center gore that lies flat against the chest, indicating a proper fit,
- soft materials such as microfiber, cotton, or lined lace.
